Engineering Technician II / III

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Technician II/III to join our Manufacturing team. Position Summary
The Engineering Technician II/III is responsible for setting up, maintaining, and repairing electronic systems and devices. They diagnose malfunctions, perform tests, and follow technical manuals to ensure proper functioning of equipment. They collaborate with the Engineering team to provide to discuss long-range planning to ensure the preparedness of to support contract measurements, contract research, internal research and product manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have proven ability to manage time constraints and conflicting priorities through effective problem-solving and communication skills. They will oversee compliance with established policies, procedures and guidelines. The Engineering Technician II/III will take on projects of their own as well as work with other technicians and engineers. They will administer tasking through the Jira system.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Interprets plans, drawings, diagrams, and instructions to complete installation
- Assembly of electro-mechanical systems, parts, and wiring harnesses.
- Prepares and assembles materials and equipment used in electronics and EMC testing
- Partner with mechanical or electrical engineers to fine tune the repair and diagnostic process in the work environment.
- Diagnoses, troubleshoots, and repairs problems with malfunctioning circuitry networks, electronic pieces, and missing or inoperative parts.
- Works with the Quality Engineer to undertake QA on production handoff to the engineering and product sales team
- Create and documents end user manuals and measurement procedures of CTG systems
- Responsible for packing and shipping of product sales items
- Creates test logs, test equipment logs, and reports
- Helps manage AS9100 documentation requirements through manufacturing workflow
- Assists in procurement of raw materials and COTS components
- Responsible for technical support issues
- Works with cross functional teams to ensure products are assembled, tested and shipped according to contractual timeline and specifications
PREFERRED TECHNICAL SKILLS
Soldering, Equipment Calibration, Measuring Techniques, Lab Protocol, Electrical Equipment, Electrical Integration, Safety Procedures, Quality Management, Proficient in circuits and technical systems, Experience in AS9100 or ISO9001 environments, Experience in manufacturing and production is desirable
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- 2-yr associate’s degree in electrical / mechanical engineering or other relevant certification, or at least 5 years of technical experience.
- Interested in Mechanical and Electrical systems and integration.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Great interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to learn and accept constructive feedback.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Able to lift up to 50 lbs
Work in a business office space that includes a manufacturing, lab, and production environment
